The Deck and Dagger Blood Bowl League

You asked, we listened. We’re excited to announce that in 2026 we’ll be hosting a Blood Bowl League - the Frome Super Blood Bowl. It’s time to find out who the biggest, baddest Blood Bowler in town is. 

The league format is pretty simple. Games will be hosted at Deck and Dagger and the league will see teams play each other twice. The events will be held every other Wednesday and will begin from January 14th and sessions will cost £5. 

Hold your horses though! We know you’re excited to start competing, but the first session on the 14th will be a night for friendly matches. This is a chance for new players to learn more about the game and to make sure everyone is on the same page when it comes to the rules and gameplay. If a league sounds like a big commitment, then don’t panic. Although you have to play everyone twice, the schedule will be casual. So long as you complete your games over the course of the season you’re all good - You don’t have to attend every session! 

We’ll be providing boards and dugouts and as many rulebooks, tokens, markers and dice as we can, but if you have any that you can bring to a session then that would be much appreciated. Besides that, the only thing you need to bring is your team! We don’t have any rules on whether minis need to be painted, but who doesn’t love a nicely painted Blood Bowl team? 

You’re probably also wondering about a prize. As well as having bragging rights for a year there will also be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Our 1st place player will get a Blood Bowl team of their choice (based on the teams that are available at the end of the season) and a trophy. 2nd and 3rd place will win store credit. 

We want people to compete and have fun, but we also want to build a community around the wonderfully weird game of Blood Bowl. That also applies to arranging sessions and making sure that everyone gets their games in. We’d ask that players join our Discord server which is where people will be communicating about the evening!
