An Introduction to Battlefleet Gothic - Mission 3 - 19/08/2026
Date: Wed 19th August - 7pm to 10pm
Where: Deck and Dagger, 4 Palmer Street, Frome
Age: 16+
Deck and Dagger's “Intro to Battlefleet Gothic” returns for our third session, for new, curious, and returning players to the space battleship combat game set in the Warhammer 40k universe.
The first two events covered the core rules, ordnance, ship squadrons, as well as space phenomena and hazards like asteroid fields and gravity wells.
This time we're running scenario three from the starter pack: “The Raiders.”
A small attacking force has been sent in to cripple or destroy a much larger enemy fleet as quickly as possible. The defenders have more numbers, but are caught unaware. Can the attacking fleet use the element of surprise to even the odds?
This scenario introduces a new kind of ship to your fleet and even more of the advanced rules.
Your fleet is now joined by a Battlecruiser, a large ship that acts as a carrier. Your giant space cathedrals can now send out waves of fighter squadrons, bombers, and attack craft, in an attempt to harass, counter, and even board your opponents’ ships and disrupt them from within.
Fleet Admiral Mae will be walking us through new mechanics such as:
Battlecruisers
Attack Craft
Boarding Actions
Combat Air Patrol
Hit & Run Attacks
Warp Storms
If you are curious about Battlefleet Gothic and want to give it a go, now’s your chance!
For those who are completely new, we’ll also be running a brief rules refresher before we start, and a chance to play a few rounds of the 1st scenario, “Cruiser Clash” as a gentle introduction to the game.
What To Bring:
10 x D6 Dice
Tape Measure
(Even greater) enthusiasm for the void
What We'll Provide:
Ships, terrain, tokens, and starter rules.
Whether you're returning to finish what you started or jumping into the world of Battlefleet Gothic as a fresh recruit - the void is waiting.
