Tesseract Miniature Studios brings you their acclaimed class "An Introduction to Display Painting".
Utilising a hand-picked mini, from our teacher, Stu - you'll explore display painting at an introductory level.
The miniature is specially chosen to offer you a range of textures and materials that will form a rock-solid foundation for your adventure in to display painting.
The goal of this class is that you come away with some basic principles that you can take forward and use to improve those special, one-off pieces.
We're focusing on the larger scale for this, with a bust - the classic choice for many display painters. These cut-off upper torso's are presented in beautiful display scale for easier access and painting space.
That said, many of the tricks and tips you'll pick up working on this scale transfer amazingly to wargaming scale figures too.
Even better, the bust (worth £20-30) is yours to keep and included in the cost of the workshop.
For this class you will need:
A selection of your favourite paints - We recommend giving yourself as many options as is feasible to transport! Alternatively, you have the option to access the Deck and Dagger paint library (the full Army Painter Fanatics range) for an additional cost.
Brushes - Although Stu will have the incredible TMS brushes with him, and available to buy!
Wet palette and hobby handle.
Space, lighting and the miniature are all provided!
This is a full day class, so breaks are scheduled throughout both to keep you fresh and to make room for a food break in the middle.
We run a very casual and friendly class, with a relaxed approach and encourage lots of questions.
