Vampire the Masquerade two-shot (with Finlay) - 17/05/2026

£16.00

When and where:

Deck and Dagger, 4 Palmer St, Frome, BA11 1DS
Sunday 17th May, 12pm-4pm

Synopsis:

South Carolina, 1873 America, land of the free, home to the lost and the final frontier. Or was, at least. When vampires set foot in the Americas, some as far back as the expedition of Cortes, but most steadily sailing over in the last century, they thought it was perfect. Although there was a stigma that leaving Europe and the Old World was admitting failure, those who found themselves in America often did not care or saw their exodus as a bitter necessity. Since the Civil War, the South has wept over its loss, and the South is the kind of loser that will not try to hold its head higher to be victorious in defeat, to see eye to eye with the bettering World, it will try to bring the World down to its level to burn in its suffering. With Reconstruction in full effect, industrialisation strangling cities that within a generation were just a wooden village and social tensions boiling over, there is talk that freedom still exists, out West.

What players can expect:

The party will all play as vampires who are first or second generation settlers in America. For whatever reason, they are down on their luck and the tensions of the post civil war South have become too untenable, whether that is personal or political. They will band together and find out if there is a viable place out further West they can settle... they will grapple with the question of whether the road they're running down will run out, what is the price of freedom and is there a place for vampires in the changing world?

For players who like:

If you like; Red Dead Redemption, True Blood or Yellowstone then this is the one for you!

About the GM:

Finlay has a background in academia. He brings over eight years experience running TTRPG games and has professional and hobby experience writing and presenting his ideas. Incorporating influences from mythology, history, folklore and fantasy, he has run Dungeons and Dragons, Call of Cthulhu and Star Wars Edge of Empire games. But, his heart always returns to vampires.
